Look at the before and after views of the brochure below:
This was a brochure for an international company that was and is still doing business with the U.S. military.
It is an older example of a redesign I did, back when I did strictly graphic design for printed products.
Although it is outdated, it is, however, a clear example of the importance of choosing the right person to do the job.
WHAT IS WRONG:
-
Chaotic lines
-
Information is disorganized
-
No hierarchy attributed to the information (everything competes for attention at the same time)
-
Transparent Language logo is cut-off
-
Overload of information
-
The theme is not military-related enough
-
The overall design does not coincide with the company's website
BEFORE

WHAT IS RIGHT:
-
Sleek and clean
-
Information is organized, compartmentalized and designated by clear, bold titles
-
Information you need to know is easily located
-
The logo is shown in full
-
Photomontage on the cover is military-themed
-
Brochure colors match the company's website
